Food Smells Different

So, I come back to the office from running some errands. I picked up some McDonalds to eat at my desk.



CM: is that a Big Mac?

Me: actually its a quarter-pounder.

CM: oh. That smells different on an airplane.

Me: what?

CM: that quarter-pounder will smell differently on a plane.

Me: ok...

CM: They've done studies.

(I'm not sure who "they" are, but CM references them and their studies a lot)

CM: studies have shown that food smells differently when you are on a plane.

Me: Hmmmm... I didn't know that.
